The Czech Philharmonic Orchestra is a Czech symphony orchestra based in Prague. It was founded in 1896. It began its concert activity with a performance at the Rudolfinum under the direction of Antonín Dvořák.
As of the 2018/2019 season, the chief conductor and music director is the American conductor of Russian origin, Semyon Byčkov, with a tenure until 2028.The principal guest conductors are Jakub Hrůša and Tomáš Netopil. The orchestra's principal conductors are Jakub Hrůša and Tomáš Netopil.
